    • depending on trimester, massage will be performed in side lying position

    • you will have pillows for your head and for between your arms and knees

    • always discuss areas of pain, discomfort, and expectations or goals with your therapist prior to beginning session

    • avoid deep tissue in glutes, legs, ankles, feet, and hands

    • your therapist should be educated on pressure points that can cause preterm labor

      • SP6, LI4, BL60, BL67, GB21, LU7, and points in the lower abdomen (CV3-CV7) and sacral region (BL27-BL34)
